Hi. I’m A.J. I write content for ed tech and sales companies.
I’ve been writing professionally for 17 years. I got my start in newspapers, where I spent most of career reporting on education. I later taught journalism at the college level, developing a course for digital journalism for the community college that employed me.
I bring a reporter’s approach to content marketing: my goal is to learn all I can about my clients’ needs (and their clients’ needs), to research and interview experts in the field, and then to turn out fast, clean copy by or before deadline. I’ve written for brands such as Apollo and Acrobatiq, and my ghostwritten work has appeared across the web. I also write about sales technology and CRMs — you can see my sales related copy on Pipedrive’s blog.
When I’m not writing copy aimed sales managers or university presidents, I write my first love: fiction. I hold an MFA in creative fiction from Fairfield University and my novellas, “Beware the Hawk” and “The Eagle & The Arrow,” were published in 2011 and 2012 by VBP Press. (If you’re here looking for my fiction, let me send you to my author site.)
I still pitch and publish regularly as a journalist. I contribute to Book Riot and GeekMom, and my work has appeared in Campus Technology, The Establishment, Billfold, and The Next Web.
